Autumn Colors in Crested Butte

One night this fall I was driving around with my dog trying to decide where we could go to take some photos of the colors. I went to this area near Gold Link lift on the resort at Crested Butte. I know this area well in the winter, but it was covered in a whole new look. This season was special. I never knew I could love the autumn colors like this. It's those aspens! I'm telling ya. They make you feel something.

Hard to believe I get to live here. This chapter in my book of life is one I'd like to hold onto tightly, knowing how fortunate I am to have these experiences. I know the snow will be here one day soon, but these warm glows are keeping me content till then. I love how simple seeing something beautiful is out here. I can find a magical moment everyday. That's special. I think being a photographer is just the art of noticing. Showcasing what you notice to be beautiful.
